Blessed be God
-
It was recently shown by the Holy Spirit that God appreciates blessings
too. We are always ready to bless each other in the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ, receiving blessings from above, but how many of us bless the God
who gave us the chance of eternal spiritual life with Him through the Covenant
blood of His Son?
-
-
When many of the following scriptures came up in a matter of days, it was
realised that this was a prompting of the Holy Spirit and when the various
resources were searched through and some of the correct items were found
first time on opening the books concerned, a warm feeling of comfort was
experienced. Blessed be the Living God!

Long explanations are not included with the following scriptures, as this
will enable you to find the reasons for blessing God the Father, through
His power which is given unto you.

-
And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed;
for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose,
and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor. And he made his camels
to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening,
even the time that women go out to draw water. And he said,
O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day,
and shew kindness unto my master Abraham. Behold, I stand here by
the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to
draw water: And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say,
Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say,
Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she
that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall
I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master. And it came to pass,
before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born
to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her
pitcher upon her shoulder. And the damsel was very fair to look
upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the
well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. And the servant ran to meet
her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.
And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher
upon her hand, and gave him drink. And when she had done giving him drink,
she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have
done drinking. And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough,
and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his
camels. And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the
LORD had made his journey prosperous or not. And it came to pass, as the
camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a
shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight
of gold; And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee:
is there room in thy father's house for us to lodge in? And she
said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which
she bare unto Nahor. She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and
provender enough, and room to lodge in. And the man bowed down his head,
and worshipped the LORD. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of
my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and
his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my
master's brethren.

And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel,
which hath given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even
seeing it.

Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee
to abide in for ever. And the king turned his face about, and blessed all
the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)
And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with
his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it,
saying, Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt,
I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that
my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name
of the LORD God of Israel. And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas
it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that
it was in thine heart. Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but
thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house
unto my name.

-
O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded
to a thousand generations; Even of the covenant which he made with
Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; And hath confirmed the same to Jacob
for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, Saying,
Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it. And when
they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another
people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for
their sakes, Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets
no harm. Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day
his salvation. Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works
among all nations. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised:
he also is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the
people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Glory and honour
are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory
and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring
an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it
be not moved. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let
men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth. Let the sea roar,
and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is
therein. Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the
LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth. O give thanks unto the LORD;
for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. And say
ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver
us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and
glory in thy praise. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever
and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.
-
(1 Chronicles 16:13-36)

Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with
perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also
rejoiced with great joy. Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the
congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel
our father, for ever and ever. Thine, O LORD, is the greatness,
and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all
that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is
the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches
and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine
hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make
great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank
thee, and praise thy glorious name. But who am I, and what is
my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort?
for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were
all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there
is none abiding. O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared
to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand,
and is all thine own. I know also, my God, that thou triest the
heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness
of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I
seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto
thee.

Then said Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would dwell in the thick
darkness. But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place
for thy dwelling for ever. And the king turned his face, and blessed the
whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.
And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his
hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth to my father
David, saying, Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the
land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an
house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a
ruler over my people Israel: But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name
might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
-
(2 Chronicles 6:1-6)
-
-
Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a
thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD
which is in Jerusalem: And hath extended mercy unto me before the
king, and his counsellors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And
I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and
I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating
and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And there came a messenger
unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside
them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they
have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped
alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another,
and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the
sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone
to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another,
and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels,
and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of
the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was
yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters
were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And,
behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four
corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead;
and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Then Job arose, and rent his
mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return
thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name
of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou
hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known
shall serve me. As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers
shall submit themselves unto me. The strangers shall fade away, and be
afraid out of their close places. The LORD liveth; and blessed be
my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted. It is God that
avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me. He delivereth me from mine
enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou
hast delivered me from the violent man. Therefore will I give thanks unto
thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
-
(Psalms 18:43-49)

-
A Psalm of David. Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent
to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go
down into the pit. Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto
thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. Draw me not away
with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to
their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts. Give them according
to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give
them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. Because
they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands,
he shall destroy them, and not build them up. Blessed be the LORD,
because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is
my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore
my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The LORD
is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift
them up for ever.
-
(Psalms 28:1-9)
-
-
Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he
hath done for my soul. I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled
with my tongue. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear
me: But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended
to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned
away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the
king's guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:
He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree
so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time,
and that he would shew the king the interpretation. Then Daniel went to
his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
his companions: That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning
this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest
of the wise men of Babylon. Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel
in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel answered
and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and
might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings,
and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to
them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with
him. I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast
given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired
of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.

And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, And brought the
ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him
thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others
cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. And
the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna
to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the
Lord; Hosanna in the highest. And when he was come into Jerusalem, all
the city was moved, saying, Who is this? And the multitude said, This is
Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought
forth a son. And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had
shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. And it came to
pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they
called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. And his mother answered
and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. And they said unto
her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. And they
made signs to his father, how he would have him called. And he asked for
a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled
all. And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed,
and he spake, and praised God. And fear came on all that dwelt round about
them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill
country of Judaea. And all they that heard them laid them
up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the
hand of the Lord was with him. And his father Zacharias was filled with
the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord God
of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised
up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he
spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world
began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all
that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and
to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of
our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness
before him, all the days of our life.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God
unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also
to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath
of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be
known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal
power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when
they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory
of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and
to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also
gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour
their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into
a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who
is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections:
for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against
nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman,
burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which
is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error
which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their
knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which
are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication,
wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate,
deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud,
boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding,
covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who
knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy
of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father
of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort
wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ
abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether
we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which
is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer:
or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers
of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
-
(2 Corinthians 1:3-7)

-
Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also. For ye suffer
fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise. For ye suffer, if a
man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of
you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face. I speak
as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever
any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also. Are they Hebrews? so
am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of
Abraham? so am I. Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool)
I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in
prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I
forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was
I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in
the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in
perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in
perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in
the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false
brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and
thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that
are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? If I must
needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.
The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore,
knoweth that I lie not.

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing
this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless
and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane,
for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For
whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers,
for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is
contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed
God, which was committed to my trust. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord,
who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the
ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious:
but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And
the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which
is in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all
acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of
whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first
Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them
which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
-
(1 Timothy 1:8-16)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according
to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible,
and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who
are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed
in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season,
if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the
trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth,
though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and
glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love;
in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with
joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even
the salvation of your souls.
