The Truth of the Word

In the previous teaching on this web site1, we ascertained that the Holy Spirit is Truth.
We also understood that the word of God is Truth, and most importantly noticed that the two go hand in hand.

This meant that if a person claimed to be reborn of the Spirit of God, was in ministry and preached or taught something contrary to the Word, there was something wrong somewhere. Which spirit was that person subject to?

Moreover if anyone claims to be reborn of the Spirit of God and lives a life contrary to the Word, there is something wrong. We are not talking here of momentary lapses into sin, which we are all subject to due to our sin nature, but those who are in willing sin; those who know that they are sinning and carry on doing it, perhaps because all their fellow parishioners are doing it as well.
Perhaps they imagine that they are exceptions to the law of God?

The Triune God is not subject to time as we know it because we link time to life. God has a life, was, is and is to come.
However, to come down to create mankind, God made a beginning - of time and we saw that the Word was in the beginning, became flesh and dwelt among us.
Therefore Jesus is the Word; He spoke the universe into being and spoke, through the Holy Spirit, into the spirits of the prophets who caused the Word to be converted into the written word; the Holy Bible.

To reborn believers, Jesus speaks to us into our spirits through the Holy Spirit; the Comforter.
You, who are reborn and therefore believe that you shall go to paradise when God calls you from this life of time, know what is meant by the word Comforter.
In the most trying of times, when hanging on by the skin of your teeth, as you reflect on the Truth of God's written word in a time of quiet, a comfort comes into your innermost being, warming the coldness of the stress that you are suffering from and allowing you to carry on, and on. Yes?

It is hoped that you noticed that this writer very seldom uses the word "I", "me", "my" etc. as one's ego is apt to get in the way and with it the temptation to sin. Moreover a miracle recently occurred in the printed word, when a teaching that was already available on the Internet was being edited and the word "I" was omitted from the sentence, resulting in the emphasis changing so that God the Son was glorified. Certain words were then supernaturally added to the sentence being typed on the computer!
Impossible?
No.

So, now "I" am getting personal to get your attention and need to speak to you man to man as the saying goes, or more correctly, man to woman.
This is a most difficult subject that many people in the church handle diffidently and differently and has been a burden on my heart for many years because the modern church in this modern western styled world that many of us live in has bypassed the Truth of the Word to the extent that the sin has become so widespread and accepted that it is no longer perceived as sin. A temporary victory to Satan.

The subject is the position of reborn women in the Church of God.

We are not talking here about the institutionalised denominational Laodicean church of the monetised world, but the Spiritual Church; of the heart. The only ego is Christ's.
Hallelujah!

Remember, you are the temple!

Dear sister in Christ, I know that your hackles have already started to rise, and this is good because you have not rejected out of hand that which is going to be stated and are prepared to read further.
This which is to follow is done in love.
Please calm down and consider what Jesus has to say.

The two women alive today whom I love most dearly, have known for all of my adult life and are professing Christians, both say that I have something against women.
I pray that this is not so.

Women are different to men and have been created for different purposes, to carry out different functions to men. This applies only to the physical world that we live in and not the Spiritual unending one that is to come.

Not only do women have different bodily functions to men, such as bearing children, they are emotionally different and you being a woman know how emotional you can become, and this emotion is partly driven by your womanly hormones which fluctuate from day to day. Yes.
We cannot see or feel your emotion, only how emotional you can be. So, we all can see how your emotions are driving you; we see the bodily manifestation of your emotions.
Emotions are soulish, they are inward looking and have to do with the body, with self. They are also interpersonal.

We can also see or perceive the spiritual walk of a person by his or her spiritual fruits, but as this has to do with communication between mankind and his (or her) Creator, this evidence is relatively limited.
The Creator knows all things, knows what is best for His reborn servant and because He can now communicate with him or her through the Holy Spirit, who is also God, can guide His willing and obedient servant and protect him or her.

God is not an ogre - God is LOVE.

He wants the best for you and I and knows best how to accomplish this, if only we will take the trouble to listen to Him and do what is best for us!

Our heavenly Father has even provided us with a reference manual. He even sent His only begotten Son - His Legal Representative, to lead by example. He even allowed emotional man, who that Son created, to kill that Son in a most painful way so that our Lord Jesus Christ could become the gate through which emotional man and woman could once again meet with Spiritual God.

Jesus of Nazareth knew all the emotions of man, He also had the spiritual limitations of man as is evidenced in Luke 9:28-31.
He knew fear and yet He was obedient unto death, even the death of the cross and became Christ Jesus. The firstfruit of the New Covenant.

So, that Spiritual Person, Lord Jesus Christ, who has a Spiritual body, who so loves us that He died for us, who, amongst many other attributes is the Creator, the Word, our Covenant Representative, cares for each of us and wants the very best for us.

God knows each of us, so why not follow the Owner's Manual and pause in this busy and stressful life, and listen for the still small voice of God? The voice that shall become louder with familiarity and lead us beside the still waters.

So, with that introduction behind us let's look at the "bad" news (from an egotistical, worldly point of view), from the Creator of the heavens and the earth, including man and woman, which is actually the "Good" news for Spiritual living which He has proclaimed, to protect Christian women from the evil one.
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
(1 Corinthians 11:1-3)
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
(1 Corinthians 14:34-35)

Bang, bang. Like the effect of a double barrelled gun, your ego has been wounded and you are offended and rebellious?
I hope not.
You are being spiritually protected from your weakness so that your womanly strength may become effective!
Here is God's order and the reasons:

In the Church:
But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
(1 Corinthians 11:5-12)
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
(1 Timothy 2:8-15)
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed
(Titus 2:1-5)
And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
(Revelation 2:18-26)

In your personal lives:
And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
(1 Corinthians 7:10-17)
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
(Colossians 3:18-21)
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
(1 Peter 3:1-7)

Christian husbands, have you noticed that with the "privilege" of being the head of the house, there goes enormous responsibility? Responsibility before God which you shall answer for one day. You shall be responsible for some of your wife's weaknesses.
That is why you are commanded to love her.
You are the Spiritual head of the home, accept and carry out your duties as laid out in God's holy word!
When your wife rebels and is disobedient to God's order, rebuke her in love. If she repents, forgive her. If she refuses to repent, lay out the spiritual alternatives to her and if she still is in disobedience and she receives punishment from God, make her to understand why.
This has happened on two important occasions in our marriage covenant and the second time nearly cost my wife her life.
After nearly fifty years of marriage, I still love her, and she is my best friend in the world.

As may be more fully explained in a future teaching, there is a difference between someone who prophesies and a prophet:
And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem. Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done. And after those days we took up our carriages, and went up to Jerusalem.
(Acts 21:8-15)

According to the word of God, the only time that a woman may speak in church is when the Holy Spirit commands her to and she prophesies. There will usually be another prophecy immediately before or after, and the event prophesied shall occur. This is a gift of the Holy Spirit and the prophecy is given to the Church for edification and will be for the glory of God. In this way will the Church know that God has spoken, will receive a wake up call and any unbelievers present will recognise that there is a Living God who speaks to and cares for man.

Please remember at all times: God is over all creation.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
(Psalms 1:1-3)
