But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and
bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The following prophetic passage of Scripture given to Jeremiah refers to
the thousand years under the Government of God (Revelation 20:1-7; Luke
19:11-27) and that day, the time when those who have followed the
Truth shall live in peace. However, we must bear in mind that the prophecy
was given to those in the old Covenant in terms that they could understand:
-
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while
he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying, Thus saith the LORD
the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is
his name; Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and
mighty things, which thou knowest not. For thus saith the LORD, the God
of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses
of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the
sword; They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill
them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in
my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will
reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. And I will cause the
captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build
them, as at the first. And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity,
whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities,
whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all
the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto
them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all
the prosperity that I procure unto it. Thus saith the LORD; Again there
shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without
man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets
of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and
without beast, The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of
the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall
say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy
endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice
of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity
of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts;
Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and
in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing
their flocks to lie down. In the cities of the mountains, in the
cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of
Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah,
shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them,
saith the LORD. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform
that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the
house of Judah. In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch
of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and
righteousness in the land. In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem
shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be
called, The LORD our righteousness. For thus saith the LORD; David shall
never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; Neither
shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings,
and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually. And the
word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; If ye
can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that
there should not be day and night in their season; Then may also
my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a
son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured:
so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister
unto me. Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, Considerest
thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the
LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my
people, that they should be no more a nation before them. Thus saith the
LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I
have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; Then will I cast
away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not
take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have
mercy on them.

That day refers to the time of the new Jerusalem when all those
who have been chastised of the Lord and repented of their sins on a daily
basis: and who are the wife of the Lamb, will reside therein.

This unending peace that we each long for has been promised by our loving
heavenly Father and is our duty to follow while in these worldly bodies:
-
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle
wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the
enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances;
for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And
that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having
slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were
afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access
by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and
foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of
God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus
Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building
fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom
ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation
be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all
understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally,
brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think
on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received,
and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met
Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To
whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation
King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King
of peace;

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless
afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which
are exercised thereby.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,
and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout
Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, Elect according to the
foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit,
unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto
you, and peace, be multiplied.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven
and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I
John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice
out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself
shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all
tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things
are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all
things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and
the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water
of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will
be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and
the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters,
and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire
and brimstone: which is the second death. And there came unto me one of
the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues,
and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the
Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain,
and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven
from God,
