The Truth That is Freedom
-
-
Much of the writing on this web site* has been an attempt to remind us,
you and I, how we should live in this present world, especially in the
evil times shortly to come upon us.
-
-
The following passages of Scripture will hopefully be the starting point
of us realising who God is.
-
Take it on from here, believer:
-
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by
him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life;
and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and
the darkness comprehended it not.
-
(John 1:1-5)
-
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto
the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by
his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also
he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the
express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his
power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand
of the Majesty on high;
-
Hebrews 1:1-3)
-
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the
light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but
shall have the light of life.
-
(John 8:12)

This morning, while listening to a downloaded sermon, the Holy Spirit,
through His wonderful Providence showed this old man something else that
had to be added.
-
He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings,
which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the
blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about, And the fat of the
bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards,
and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver: And they put the
fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar: And the breasts
and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the
LORD; as Moses commanded. And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people,
and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and
the burnt offering, and peace offerings. And Moses and Aaron went into
the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people:
and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people. And there came
a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt
offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted,
and fell on their faces. And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either
of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and
offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And
there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before
the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake,
saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all
the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses called
Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto
them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the
camp. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp;
as Moses had said. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest
ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren,
the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.
And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,
lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And
they did according to the word of Moses. And the LORD spake unto Aaron,
saying, Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee,
when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it
shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: And that
ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean
and clean; And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes
which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to
it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles'
feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie
to the Holy Ghost,
and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained,
was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power?
why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto
men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave
up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and
buried him. And it was about the space of three hours after, when
his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her,
Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so
much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together
to tempt the Spirit of the
Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are
at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at
his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found
her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these
things. And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought
among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified
them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of
men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets,
and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow
of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude
out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks,
and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every
one.

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of
conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if
ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according
to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,
as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received
by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ,
as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
